The South net is being installed as I type. We anticipate that all golf lessons will take place tomorrow and that the general public can hit balls at 5:00pm. The high winds, once again, has caused a delay with the installation. We will limit the start time to 5:00pm on Sunday as well. The remaining pieces of the netting will be completed by Wednesday, Feb. 22nd…assuming the winds do not increase and inhibit the installation. Thank you for your patience!

Greetings!
As of Wednesday, February 1st, we’ve had our netting company firing on all cylinders!!
If all goes as planned, we hope to be fully operational by Saturday, Feb. 18th.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you back on our range soon!
Space will be limited and the free clinics will cover all aspects of the game.
The first clinic will be on Saturday, Feb. 11th at 10:00am. The topic will be putting.

We have confirmed that Judge Netting will begin work on Wednesday, February 1st. Completion will take approx. 2.5 weeks.
Our incredible Teaching Pro staff are currently permitted to conduct full swing golf lessons that are limited to 110 yards. Lessons are available from 8:00am to 7:00pm.

Greetings,
The manufacturers are very close to completing the new steel driving range poles and fabrication of the new netting. The soil testing has been the most difficult to complete. Being new steel poles at a height that will be significantly higher then the previous 85 feet, it is imperative that the soil testing be 100% accurate. Our fence company is prepared to start the project once this is complete. Although many people have commented about not seeing any work done on site, we can assure you that many things are happening to expedite the project. It is not cost effective to begin demolition of the current poles and then potentially wait for delivery of the new materials.

Greetings!
Thank you in advance for reading our blog and wanting to know about our driving range status. Rather then a repair, the driving range project has become a replacement of both North and South fences. This requires accurate engineering on many levels, that include the height of the poles, the foundation and the patterns to be cut in the netting. Fabrications are being completed in Bakersfield which will expedite the time it will take to go from machine to our location. The netting company doing the project is one of the top companies in the country. We are fortunate to have them, the City of El Segundo and Lane/Donovan as the supervisors of this daunting project. We appreciate your calls with questions of when we anticipate opening again, and can only thank you for your continued support. We are proud of the range we have and can promise that all facets of the project are going as fast as possible. I’d like to also remind you that our golf course is open and the greens are rolling great…and the seafood soup the other day was awesome! Print out this blog post, bring it in to The Lakes and get get a $1.00 off your green fees or one free soft drink with lunch. This deal will expire when the range re-opens but be certain that a new deal will be available! Please leave a comment with any questions you may have.

The latest update to our driving range re-opening is approx. 3-4 weeks from today (12-20-11)
I was optimistic in my previous post and now have been given more accurate information.
I will continue to update our progress on this blog.
We appreciate you as our customers and want you to know that we are doing everything in our power to re-open.
The City of El Segundo has been a great partner and supporter in this difficult process. We thank them for their continued efforts.
